Funding

The project received World Bank’s approval in November 2020 and the loan agreement was signed in January 2021. The project cost is estimated as USD 150 Mn which is funded jointly by World Bank (USD 105 Mn) and the GoWB (USD 45 Mn)

The $105 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), has a maturity of 17 years, including a grace period of 7 years.

  • Government of West Bengal’s Funds – USD 45 Mn (~INR 370 Cr)
